The United States Adventure Racing Association is the primary national organizing body of adventure racing in the Unted States. The mission of USARA is to make adventure racing a more accessible sport to novice racers while creating more robust safety standards and offering high quality insurance at an affordable price for race directors. 

 The USARA advances the sport through various initiatives and programs, including USARA-sanctioned event calendars and rankings, individual mentoring for race directors, and the organization of a National Championship, with a corresponding sponsorship program for Regional Qualifiers.
